Hello world,
Here I am, humbly offering scans of my sketchbook from early fall 2024. I always meant to share these (and more) and yet time trudges on eternally. Back then I had discovered a brush Zig pen and started using it in this sketchbook – the cartridge is replaceable and it creates a nice dark line with thin/thick variations. As a bonus it draws well on top of dried gouache.
Please imagine yourself flipping through my sketchbook with a cozy cup of coffee or tea.
I hope you’re having a wonderful summer so far! Here in the PNW it is very seasonable and folks are out and about, making the most of the sunny weather – including me! I look forward to many days of camping, hiking, and plein air painting.

I’ve created an art raffle to help a family evacuate Gaza. $5 donated to this gofundme will earn you one entry – just send me a screenshot of your receipt. The winner gets this 11x14 gouache flower experiment (local Portland pickup winners will receive it framed!)
Events:
I am in the 10th Anniversary Nucleus Portland Coaster show! It’s open now and there are 1,500 coaters to ogle.
I am in a show in Hood River at 301 Gallery – it’s called the Inspired Show and I’ll have three gouache paintings of the Columbia Gorge. Opening is August 1st from 5-7pm. 301 Oak st. Hood River OR
